Belief

Education is essential to sustaining a functioning democracy and necessary to the development of an empathic, critical thinking citizenry.  Providing it is a complex and ever-changing responsibility that has to balance the needs of all those involved, first and foremost students, but also their hard working teachers, coaches, school building staff and our administrators.  This balance must always be achieved, too, with limited resources and against the backdrop of many competing and pressing needs of local municipalities–like Wayland.  

I believe I am well positioned to help Wayland meet this responsibility and achieve this balance.  

If elected, I will be a thoughtful, inquisitive, compassionate member of the Wayland School Committee and will bring a desire to listen, a willingness to work hard and a track record of problem solving
